How does Haus of Maundy determine the total number of bags?

Bag counts are based on the type of service provided because different fabrics require specific care.  Haus of Maundy separates into four key categories (1) Towels (2) Linens (3) Comforters (4) Clothing.  Each category is considered (1) bag with each bag having a maximum weight of 25 lbs. before counting as an additional bag.

Separating Standards

Haus of Maundy carefully separates fabrics by care recommendation and color.

  • We separate delicate items, although we prefer to wash most clothing on a delicate cycle to preserve fabrics.
  • We separate by color - white/light, red/pink/purple, pastels, blue/green, black/grey.

Stain Removal

Haus of Maundy will make reasonable efforts to treat stains but makes no guarantee of complete stain removal, so as to avoid over-treating or damaging fabrics. Haus of Maundy is not responsible for any pre-existing tears, damage, or stains and will note any visible issues prior to laundering.

Health & Safety

Haus of Maundy understands the importance of health and safety guidelines and will not service fabrics that are heavily soiled with biological or other waste.  Haus of Maundy, at its sole discretion, may return any such items unwashed and sealed in a plastic bag.

Detergent & Product Allergies

Haus of Maundy provides several detergent options so that our clients can choose products that best meet their needs.  Additionally, we are always open to our clients sending their own detergent for service or recommending new brands for us to try!

It's important to note that Haus of Maundy operates independently from detergent manufacturers and shall not be held liable for any allergies, skin irritations, or other reactions that may result from the use of such products.

Pick up & Delivery Process

Most of our clients choose a regular weekly service schedule, however, we also offer "on demand" service by appointment and based on schedule availability.

Haus of Maundy meets with each client to understand needs, determine a schedule that works best and will assign a 30 minute window that is the same for both pick up and delivery.

For initial pick up, clients will place fabrics in any bag and place it outside of their front door for pick up at the top of their assigned window.

Allow 48 hours for service completion since we hang dry most of our fabrics and laundry will be returned in an assigned, reusable wash & fold bag and/or hang bags.  These bags will be used for ongoing services and are laundered and returned fresh with each service.

It's important to note that Haus of Maundy shall not be held liable for any loss, damage, or theft of laundry items prior to pick-up or after drop-off at the designated location.

Payment & Cancellation Policy

Haus of Maundy will issue an invoice via email or text upon completion of service and prior to delivery.  Payment is required prior to delivery.

We understand that "life happens" and allow cancellation of service within 24 hours of pick up.  Haus of Maundy will issue a $25 cancellation fee if laundry is not available for pick up at the designated time.
